Piece of advice you’d give to someone considering being a part of ASB:
Get involved! Student government is one of the best ways to get connected to the university while at Point Loma. I had the opportunity to serve on student government as the ASB Director of Student Relations. I oversaw the 40+ clubs and societies on campus. Clubs and societies were instrumental in my overall college experience. I was involved in Pi Sigma Alpha (the national honors society for political science) and VIP Gospel Choir. I built lifelong relationships with my peers and faculty advisors. If you don’t want to run for a position, apply to be on Student Congress and be a representative for the residence hall you live in. In ASB you can help plan events, advocate for policy change, and/or use your creative side to design ASB posters. There are so many ways to grow in community by helping in ASB!
