The forensic team just returned from Clemson University where we were inducted as members into the honorary forensics society of Delta Sigma Rho - Tau Kappa Alpha. Our students competed in this organization's National Tournament admirably. In debate Tre' Huxley was named the Top Speaker in the Nation! Her partner, Jennifer Burgess won Sixth Speaker. Tre' and Jenni were the second seeded team following preliminary rounds and finally lost in the Quarter Final Round. Another team of Jason Anderson and David Graham should have advanced to the Octa Final round, but for some unknown reason they chose not to run a full Octa final round only advancing 14 of the top 16 teams, perhaps due to a judge shortage.

In Individual Events Kanaan won Fourth Place awards in both Poetry and Programmed Oral Interp and Mandy Bouck won Sixth Place. By so doing Kanaan qualified his Poetry for AFA Nationals, his third event that is qualified for Nationals. Nathan Brisby and Katie Angliss were Semi Finalists in Prose Interp and Poetry Interp respectively.
