You're Invited - Pray for Our Campus

The Office of Student Development, the Office of Spiritual Development, the School of Theology, the PLNU Alumni Association, and the Center for Pastoral Leadership will host Pray for PLNU on the main campus Sunday, August 19 from 5 - 8 p.m. 

The purpose of this event is to gather as a community and pray for this upcoming year.  We will have a special emphasis on our residence halls, with an opportunity to walk through each one and pray for our incoming and returning students by name.  We do hope that many of you can join us.  Please feel free to pass on to anyone you think would be interested. 

5 p.m.
Gather in Brown Chapel
Music led by George Williamson, Director of PLNU Worship Ministries
Reading of John Wesley’s Prayer of Confession: Tony Agostini, Manager of Custodial Services
Greetings and Comments from President Dr. Bob Brower

5:45 p.m.
Prayer walk across campus and into the residence hall rooms (shuttles are available and will be looping both sides of campus from 5:45 - 7 p.m.) 
Revered Janine Metcalf from the El Cajon Church of the Nazarene will be leading a time of prayer in Brown Chapel, praying over each seat and for chapel this year 

6:45 p.m.
PLNU resident directors will lead a time of prayer at the main entrance to each residence hall

7 p.m.

Scripture read by Dr. Frank Carver, PLNU Professor Emeritus of Religion
Scripture read by Sarah Gustin, Head Coach of PLNU Women’s Volleyball

Isaiah 62 read by Katrina Bunten, PLNU sophomore and resident assistant
Dr. Ron Benefiel, Dean of the School of Theology and Christian Ministry, will lead a time of anointing and prayer for Dr. Bob and Linda Brower
