Shaping Ministry in a Shifting Culture

Monday, June 11, 2012, 12:00 pm - Thursday, June 14, 2012, 5:00 pm
Smee Hall, Rm 100, Point Loma Nazarene University

Life-changing ministry doesn’t happen on autopilot.  In fact, it often seems like a daunting task to maintain a missional mentality in a constantly changing culture.  During this four-day seminar we will take the time to analyze from the wide-angle view the cultural shifts that effect how churches are doing ministry today.  The goal of this workshop is to help you:

  • Examine the ministry efforts of a number of congregations of varying size, denomination, and ethnic diversity throughout San Diego County
  • Seek answers to the questions of “what has brought us to this point in history?”, What social impacts are we facing?”, and “How do we respond?”
  • Begin efforts to piece together a missional approach that is specific to your community

  • Dr., Rebecca Laird, Professor of Christian Ministry, Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, CA
  • Dr. Michael Christensen, International Director, Communities of Shalom, Drew University, Madison, NJ

  • Early Bird Registration (before June 1) - $79
  • General Registration (June 2-10) - $99
