Todd Lewis Invitational Biola

The Pt Loma Speech and Debate team competed in a tournament this past weekend at Biola University with a partial team and came in Second Place Sweepstakes in Debate behind the Claremont Colleges, and Fourth Place in Individual Events Sweeps despite only competing in one of the two tournaments used to calculate this award.  Griffith Vertican has now qualified his Persuasion speech for AFA Nationals.  The particular results follow:

Open Division Debate:

After going undefeated in the six preliminary rounds, the number one seated PLNU team of Chris Champine and LeAnn Wiley dropped on a split decision in the Semi Final Round to Claremont.

Elly Garner - Ninth Place Speaker

LeAnn Wiley - Tenth Place Speaker
