Do you love athletics? Do you want to help others get back to active participation? If you want to learn about the human body and the way it moves, and are also interested in health care, consider a major in athletic training!
As an athletic training major, you'll learn about human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, biomechanics, structural kinesiology, and more. These courses are designed to give you a thorough understanding of the human body and its movement to prepare you for your future career.
The Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at PLNU is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). A testament to the major’s quality, the program has competitive admission. Upon completion of the baccalaureate degree in athletic training, students are eligible to take the NATA-BOC certification examination. When you pass the national examination, you'll be a certified athletic trainer.
