Department of Biology
Do you have a passion for science and a desire to help others with your skills? Consider medical school after graduation!
Students wishing to go to medical school have the option of majoring in any subject. However, most schools encourage a broad liberal arts background, focusing specifically on behavioral and natural sciences, the humanities, and mathematics. Admission to medical school requires one year each of general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and physics, and one semester of calculus. Faculty members are available to advise and encourage students, write recommendation letters, facilitate entrance exams and practice interviews, and critique application materials.
