The issues of Origins has become a divisive one in much of evangelical Christianity today, including the Church of the Nazarene. The denomination's official stance to remain open to a variety of ways of envisioning how God creates indicates that there continues to be multiple perspectives on the topic of creation and evolution, some of which conflict. In the hopes of putting all of these perspectives into conversation with each other, Point Loma Nazarene University will be hosting the conference titled Exploring Origins: Nazarenes in Dialogue on January 23-25, 2014. This conference will provide Nazarene church leaders, scientists, biblical scholars, theologians, pastors, and laypersons the opportunity to celebrate their fundamental unity in Christ while discussing the pertinent issues related to Origins and Creation in a grace-filled manner.
