About Art & Design at PLNU

There is no single definition of art - it can be found in sculptures, photographs, paintings, and drawings, just to name a few. Whatever you're passionate about - whether it's illustrating children's books or designing for Mattel - we want you to pursue your art. With a major in art or graphic design, you will get an education that will prepare you for wherever you want to go. You will develop your technical experience, critical thinking skills, and historical knowledge of art, being exposed to a broad range of art including traditional, nontraditional, western, and nonwestern art.

Keller Art Gallery, with its inspiring ocean view, is constantly exhibiting dynamic exhibits from students, faculty, and community artists. Get inspired in San Diego by local museums, galleries, and collections, or get away by studying and creating art in Europe. Our study abroad program, Euroterm, stops in London, Venice, Florence, Rome, Paris, and Vienna or Berlin.
