Background

Lael Corbin, a native San Diegan, moved after graduation to Hawaii where he studied figure sculpture at the Honolulu Art Academy. Also, in 2008 he received the pestigious San Diego Art Prize and is currently nominated to  be a recipient of a Tiffany Foundation Grant.

His work has been exhibited in San Diego at Luis de Jesus Seminal Projects, Mark Quint Gallery, L Street Fine Art, Simayspace, Art Produce Gallery, the Oceanside Museum of Art, SDSU, UCSD, PLNU, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as in Los Angeles and Miami.

In 2005,  Lael returned to PLNU and now teaches Photography, Sculpture, Drawing, 2D and 3D Design, and oversees the art department's Open Shop.
