Department of History & Political Science

Intelligent Christians can be a force for good in the world. Knowledge is responsibility: to whom much is given, much is expected. Here, the pursuit of learning and understanding is coupled with the Wesleyan emphasis on human responsibility and creativity.

Small classes, student clubs, student-faculty dinners, travel, study abroad opportunities, internship experiences, visiting lectures, and tight-knit departmental friendships contribute to the lively scholarly experience under the roof of Colt Hall.

Each of our four majors - history, international studies, political science, and social science - offers distinct avenues of study and career options. We also offer minors in history and women's studies.
