Background

Dr. Carl Winderl joined the PLNU faculty in 2002. Along with his wife, Dr. Ronda Winderl, he led the PLNU semester abroad in England during the fall semesters of 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. His recent scholarly work includes:

“Laundromat Custodian” (principal character) in “Rita” [independent short film by NewLife Films and 2nd Place Award (‘48-Hour Sunned Cinema’ Category) in the 2005 San Diego Best-Fest Film Festival and a 2nd Place at the National Religions Broadcasters Annual Convention, Fall, 2005 (‘Short-Short Film’ Category).

Placed a juried photograph, a black & white image from the “Behold the Lamb” Series in the “Embracing the Gift” 2005 Exhibition at the CIVASILVER 25th Anniversary Conference at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA, June 2005.

Selections of Carl's Marian poetry was selected to be in an anthology of poems first published in First Things; the anthology is titled Grace Notes.  It  also includes the American poets Richard Wilbur, Mark Jarman, Dana Gioia, Rhina P. Espaillat, among others.
