M.E.N.C., and A.C.D.A. state, western division and national conferences. Dan Jackson is an active clinician and adjudicator throughout the United States.

Dan Jackson is Professor of Music at Point Loma Nazarene University where he conducts the Point Loma University Concert Choir and is co-chair of the PLNU Music Department. Under Dan Jackson's direction, his choirs have performed for seven C.M.E.A. state conventions, three Western Division A.C.D.A. conventions, two National M.E.N.C. conventions, and three National A.C.D.A. conventions. Dr. Jackson has conducted honor choirs and adjudicated throughout the United States and Canada. Dr. Jackson’s ensembles have toured overseas on numerous occasions, performing over 100 concerts in England, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Romania, Hungry, Austria, South Africa and Vendaland. Jackson received a B.A. in music education, an M.A. in Choral Conducting and has earned a Doctorate in Theology and Worship Studies with a dissertation thesis on “The Performance Practice of 16th Century Liturgical Music.” Dan has lectured at numerous A.C.D.A. and M.E.N.C. conferences on his upcoming book entitled “Plain and Simple,” Teaching Choral Music in Secondary Education through Effective and Strategic Methodologies. Dr. Jackson has served on the C.M.E.A. Central California Board, A. C. D. A. State Board, and was on the planning committee for the 2005 A.C.D.A. National Conference. During his tenure of thirteen years at Point Loma Nazarene University, Dr. Jackson’s choirs have performed concerts throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Hawaii. In addition to conducting the University Concert Choir, Dr. Jackson has taught courses in conducting, choral methods, hymnology, music ministry administration, music history, history of worship, and choral literature. Dan Jackson has presented workshops and conducted honors choir throughout the United States and Canada.
Dan Jackson resides in San Diego with his wife Connie where they are enjoying their “empty nest” in Pacific Beach. Dan has had the privilege of teaching both of his sons at Point Loma Nazarene University. Dr. Jackson's most honored moments in his career of thirty-five years are giving countless young people a life changing opportunity to create and give beauty to their world though the art of choral music.
