David Marshman is an accomplished performing artist who specializes in opera, oratorio, art song and church music. He performs with the San Diego Opera as a chorister and solo artist. He has also performed with the Los Angeles Opera and several Southern California professional choral ensembles including Bach Collegium - San Diego, Sacra Profana, Musica Vitale and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

David has appeared as a soloist in major choral and solo works including Handel's Messiah, Saul, Israel in Egypt, Bach's Saint John's Passion, Christmas Oratorio, Magnificat, Cantatas Number Fifty-Six and Eighty-Two, Mozart's Coronation Mass and Requiem, Faure's Requiem and Mendelssohn's Elijah, in which he performed the title role. He was a guest soloist with the La Jolla Symphony and Chorus and the bass soloist in Handel's Messiah with Orchestra Nova, San Diego. David is also featured in a recent CD of contemporary music--The Dream Gallery:  Seven California Portraits by composer Mark Abel.
