PLNU’s master’s degree programs in education offer three specializations:

> The Teaching and Learning specialization prepares professionals to lead effective teaching and learning experiences in both business and K-12 settings. The program integrates the latest teaching theory and research with best practices. Topics covered include teaching with technology, working with diverse student populations, managing corporate learning, and specializations for classroom teachers. One of six certifcations can be earned within this master's degree.

> The Counseling and Guidance specialization prepares elementary, middle, and high school counselors, as well as higher education counselors, to create a supportive environment for students. Topics covered include counseling theory, ethical standards, academic achievement, career development, counseling in diverse school communities, developing school counseling programs, advanced educational psychology, and educational philosophy.

> The Educational Leadership specialization is ideal for both aspiring and current administrators. The program emphasizes the skills necessary for leadership in diverse and changing school environments. Strong emphasis is put on student learning outcomes and building supportive relationships. Our program creates a highly collaborative learning environment where both academic and ethical standards are emphasized.
