PLNU’s evidence-based master’s degree program in education offers three concentrations:

> The Teaching and Learning concentration prepares current teachers, who have cleared or are clearing their single subject or multiple subject credentials, to more effectively work with students in the classroom. Theprogram integrates the latest teaching theory and research with best practices. Topics covered include teaching with technology, working with English language learners and special student populations, health education, and educational philosophy.

> The Counseling and Guidance concentration prepares elementary, middle, and high school counselors, as well as higher education counselors, to create a supportive environment for students.Topics covered include counseling theory, ethical standards, academic achievement, career development, counseling in diverse school communities, developing school counseling programs, advanced educational psychology, and educational philosophy.

> The Educational Leadership concentration is ideal for both aspiring and current administrators. The program emphasizes the skills necessary for leadership in diverse and changing school environments. Strong emphasis is put on student learning outcomes and building supportive relationships. Our program creates a highly collaborative learning environment where both academic and ethical standards are emphasized.
