PLNU’s service credentials are evidence-based programs that focus on student learning and supportive relationships. As a service credential student, you will develop a plan for your graduate-level coursework and fieldwork, receive guidance and support in a coaching/mentoring relationship, and engage in reflection. Our service credential programs are California Commission on Teacher Credentialing approved. Choose from the following options:
> The Pupil Personnel Services Credential prepares you to work as a school counselor in K-12 public schools, providing comprehensive guidance and counseling services to students. You also have the option of completing a Child Welfare and Attendance authorization with additional coursework.
> The Preliminary Administrative Services Credential prepares you for entry-level administrative positions and includes coursework applicable to a master’s degree with a concentration in educational leadership.
> The Clear Administrative Services Credential is offered as a credential-only program for practicing school administrators who need to
clear their preliminary credential through an approved induction program.
>The Child Welfare and Attendance Credential is a stand alone program that requires either a completed PPS Credential, concurrent enrollment in the PPS Program, or for non-PPS Credential holders earn a Certificate of Completion by completing the CWA Specialization Program.
