Global Ambassadors

Global Ambassadors are study abroad returnees who volunteer as student representatives of the Study Abroad Office. They conduct outreach activities meant to promote education abroad and serve as peer mentors for students going through the study abroad process.

Global Ambassadors are undergraduate students at PLNU who have:

Ø  Completed a PLNU approved study abroad program

Ø  A minimum of one full semester remaining on campus, with a  cumulative GPA of 2.75 or +

Ø  The ability to speak tactfully and positively about their experiences abroad

Ø  The ability to procure two promotional events/activities of their own design

Ø  Someone who could be recommended by their Study Abroad or academic advisor

Ø  Someone who is outgoing, dependable, and a hardworking volunteer

 

Global Ambassador Benefits:

Global Ambassador Responsibilities:

Ø  Attend monthly training meetings with the Study Abroad staff.

Ø  Participate in scheduled activities most occurring from late August – early December and early January – late April – Average of 1-4 hours each week. 

Ø  Develop Ambassador-planned events to promote study abroad.


 

How to Apply

Please thoroughly read the Global Ambassador Application and complete each question.  Applications should be submitted via email to the Study Abroad Office by August 1st for the Fall semester and December 15th for the Spring Semester.
