Background

What are you studying at Point Loma?
I am a Liberal Studies Major with a concentration in Human Development.

Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

What countries have you visited?
Mexico, France, Spain, Ireland, England, Italy, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica.

What is your favorite place you’ve visited in the world?
It’s really hard to pick just one favorite place. Each country and city is so unique and I had such a different experience in every place that I’ve been. Paris, France is on the top of my list though. It had always been a dream of mine to go, so to be able to live that out was amazing!

What is the next place you would like to visit?
After being abroad, I caught the travel bug, so I would love to go anywhere outside of the country. Australia would be really incredible.

If you could live in any other city in the world, what would it be and why?
When I visited Ireland, I absolutely fell in love with Galway. The green fields were so beautiful, so my dream would be to live on a farm in Ireland.

What languages do you speak/are learning?
I’ve been working on my Spanish.

What advice do you have for study abroad students?
It is such an invaluable opportunity to go and live in another country and immerse yourself in another culture. My advice would be…don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. I understand that it is a little scary picking up and leaving home to go to another country, but it is so WORTH it. So don’t let fear or hesitation prevent you from studying abroad.
