Kids @ Heart: IP provides tutoring, after-school activities, and a Bible study for children in downtown San Diego.
Kids @ Heart: Iglesia Presbiteriana is an amazing tutoring opportunity to show God's love to the children that need him the most. It is so rewarding to see the look on the kids' faces when you show up to help them with their homework. We work with children from first grade to eighth grade to complete their homework and then we have a Bible study!
A quick story about how great your relationship can get with your student is, one day a boy came into tutoring, put down his backpack, opened his binder, took out to pieces of lamenated paper, and handed them to his tutor. They were certificates of accomplishment! He was so excited to get them that he showed all the tutors! The trust and love that you can develop with the children at Kids @ Heart is a life-changing experience.
