Discipleship Ministries

"Christian formation is the process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others." -Robert Mulholland

Life for the average university student moves at an amazingly quick pace. There are so many decisions to be made, issues to tackle, and multiple people and opportunities pulling for our attention. How do we make sense of it all? Who do we seek out when we have questions? Where do we go and what do we do to find rest? How might we learn to faithfully receive all of life, even the messy parts, as sacred?

Discipleship Ministries is about providing opportunities where together we can seek and discover a faithful way of living that reflects the life of Christ. We believe that Christian discipleship is about continually learning and living out what it means to love God and neighbor in all that we do. When we engage in more faithful ways of being and doing, then our learning and our practices become a sacred obligation that express joy, hope, and faithful discernment.

Our various programs invite you to engage in rhythms that include faithful reflection, spiritual nourishment and friendship, study of the Word, discussions on relevant issues affecting our culture and world, and worship of God expressed through creative and artful means.

Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we invite you to join us as we seek to know and grow in our faith and understanding, and thus give ourselves over to God's transforming work in our lives so that we might faithfully reflect God's love in our world.

Small Groups

We all need friendships, places of refuge and learning for nurturing and interpreting the journey of faith.  By participating in a small group, you enter into a weekly rhythm of setting aside a time to pause for rest, encouragement, laughter, learning and spiritual friendship.

Retreats

From time to time we offer Christian formation retreats - set aside times for rest, quiet reflection, teaching and fellowship. During these times we are intentional about participating in spiritual practices that re-energize and re-focus our attention on God and on his leading in our lives.

Faith & Film Forum

From time to time we will take a critical look at how faith & film intersect in our world today and how we might better use this medium towards Christian formation both corporately and individually.

Women's Forum

The Women's Forum is designed to offer graduating female seniors a better understanding of the many choices, realities, and joys to be found in the next stage of the journey.
