|Brian Becker serves Point Loma Nazarene University as director of international ministries. He is a campus pastor who gives leadership to the University's LoveWorks ministry program and oversight to Mexico programs. He also organizes ministry internships and international opportunities for students after graduation. He is passionate about following Jesus as a lifelong learner and in relationship with others. He loves college students and enjoys teaching, mentoring, and leading retreats. Brian earned a BA degree in Psychology from PLNU and the MA degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego. He is pursuing ministry ordination in the Church of the Nazarene. He served as a microfinance program manager for HOPE International in Kisangani, Democratic Republic of the Congo from 2006-08. Brian is married to his best friend Kelly. They are currently in the process of becoming foster parents. Brian enjoys playing the piano, music, photography, travel, baseball and baking. He recently found and took in a stray box turtle. Her name is Bibiche.|
|Esteban just recently joined our team in International Ministries. He grew up as a pastor’s kid in the Western Latin American District of the Church of the Nazarene. He received his B.A from Point Loma Nazarene University (03) in Church Music-Youth Ministries and his M.A in Christian Education from Nazarene Theological Seminary (09). Prior his role at PLNU, Esteban and his wife served in church ministry in the areas of youth and music, serving in both Spanish and English speaking congregations. In 2010 they had the privilege of serving as missionaries in Spain through Nazarene Mission Corps.|
|Maira enjoys her role in the office, helping with travel and program logistics. In 2010 she earned an International Development Studies B.A, Non-profit Management minor, and a China concentration from Point Loma Nazarene University. In her short career, Maira has worked and volunteered for several organizations including Washington Mutual, Catholic Charities, Special Olympics, Hope International, Kiva.org, Esperanza International, Pathway Christian Fellowship, PLNU’s Center for International Development, and the Office of Graduate Admissions. She’s enjoyed travels all over Mexico, China, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Currently Maira resides in her city of birth, San Diego, with her husband Anthony and daughter Olivia.|
