Outdoor Facilities

Point Loma Nazarene University is well known for its beautiful campus and ocean views. The University has several outdoor facilities that showcase these scenic views, which makes them perfect for a variety of events. Despite typically great weather, event planners should be aware that PLNU does not guarantee that a backup facility will be available should foul weather disrupt their event. Planners should also be aware that since PLNU's campus is alive with activity year-round, there can be no guarantee that any outdoor activity will be free from neighboring noise.

Greek Amphitheater

Seats 1,500 in bleachers; 400 at ground level.  The Amphitheater has a covered platform with side pillars.  Nothing may be permanently attached to the structure. 

McCullough Park

A small park overlooking the ocean,  perfect for intimate outdoor gatherings.  Can seat up to 500 depending on layout.

Ryan Plaza Deck

An elevated park-like area with a partial ocean view.  Ideal for larger social gatherings.  Handicap access is available throught the Ryan Learning Center elevator.  Can hold up to 150 people depending on layout.
