Adjunct communication professor Melissa Lazaro and Dr. G.L. Forward just received word that their paper: "Predicting the Power of the Pulpit: The Effect of Verbal and Nonverbal Immediacy on Perceptions of Pastoral Effectiveness and Parishioner Commitment" was accepted by the Organizational Communication Division of WSCA. The conference is scheduled to convene in February 2011 in Monterey, CA.

In addition, recent MOCM graduate COM465 TA, and SDSU graduate student Natalie Daugherty-Sadler, will be presenting her work to the Rhetoric Division. This represents the third year in a row that Ntalie has had original work accepted for presentation at WSCA.
