FBEI Names "Student-Entrepreneurs of the Year"
The Fermanian School of Business and the Fermanian Business & Economic Institute named Nitasha Stiritz (11) and seniors Arthur Cachero and Blake Harrison its “Student- Entrepreneurs of the Year” at the annual Entrepreneur Enrichment Program (EEP) banquet in April. The team’s innovative “Launch Pad” business plan will produce a web-based application to communicate critical firm startup information and allow small startups to utilize tools that typically have only been available to larger firms. They received $2,500 from the Entrepreneur Enrichment Endowment.
In addition, senior business student Matt Joslyn received $1,000, including the $500 Dave and Dorothy Latter Free Enterprise Award, for his project, “Plane & Simple Tours.” His business plan is to provide students with inexpensive, customized trips and services. The Plane & Simple plan was also selected for a $15,000 comprehensive social media marketing plan provided by Zach Johnson’s (08) San Diego-based firm, ZBiz.
