PLNU is proud to host City of Hope’s annual San Diego Walk for Hope on Saturday, May 21. Walk for Hope is specifically dedicated to ending the devastation of breast and gynecological cancers. City of Hope is a leading research, treatment, and education institution for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. Designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the highest honor bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, City of Hope’s research and treatment protocols advance care throughout the nation and the world. It is ranked among America’s best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Four of the world’s leading cancer drugs, including Herceptin for breast cancer, were developed from research conducted at City of Hope.
