As a senior nursing student at PLNU, my journey in healthcare has been driven by a passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of others. Growing up as a missionary kid in West Africa instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and the importance of community well-being.

Grounded in my faith, I find purpose in prioritizing people and relationships, reflected not only in my roles as a caregiver and Community Health Director on PLNU’s California Nursing Student Association Board, but also in my research exploring the intersections of faith, resilience, and trauma. Contributing to my family's nonprofit, Keyara's Gift, allows me to channel my passion for making a positive impact into tangible change in the lives of those I encounter.

What is the impact you’d like to make on the world?

I aspire to make a lasting impact on the world by combining my skills as a nurse with my passion of advocating for those in need. For instance, as a senior nursing student and PLNU’s CNSA Community Health Director, I am dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility in underserved communities. By incorporating my background as a missionary kid in West Africa, I aim to bring culturally sensitive and sustainable healthcare solutions to those in need. My goal is not just to provide immediate relief but to contribute to long-term improvement in health outcomes, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
