Austin Bacong, MS, PA-C

Associate Professor, Principal Faculty

Professor Bacong is a San Diego native who grew up in Mira Mesa. He earned a BS in Physiology and Neuroscience with a minor in Music from the University of California San Diego – Revelle College in 2015, and a MS in Physician Assistant Practice from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2019. He then moved out to AZ while his wife completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University Glendale. He started clinical practice in general pediatrics through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, then switched over to inpatient/outpatient adult urology/urogynecology for a few years before completing a Postgraduate PA Academic Fellowship at Midwestern University Glendale in 2025. Professor Bacong enjoys educational theory and teaching the impact of social determinants of health on patient outcomes. In his free time, Professor Bacong enjoys running and hiking with his wife and 95lb hound-mix. He is excited to return home to San Diego as an Associate Professor in the PA Program at Point Loma Nazarene University to serve the community that raised him.
