Professor Cosette Tigüilá is an educator, instructional designer, and lifelong learner committed to fostering engaging, inclusive, and technology-enhanced learning environments. Drawing from over eight years of teaching experience in K–12 and higher education, she integrates digital tools and pedagogical best practices to support diverse learners and promote academic success.
Professor Tigüilá studied Mathematics at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU). Soon after, she continued her studies and completed her Master of Arts in Education at PLNU, earning both her Secondary Mathematics and Special Education Credentials. During her time at PLNU, she served as a Help Center Technician, where her interest in technology deepened. After graduating, Professor Tigüilá spent seven years teaching Mathematics and Special Education, consistently integrating her love for technology by creating online learning content for her students. Her combined expertise in pedagogy and technology has made her a natural fit for her current role as an Instructional Designer and Curriculum Developer at PLNU.
Professor Tigüilá's interests and hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, exercising, traveling, and watching foreign films. When Professor Tigüilá is able, she will foster dogs and help them find their next home.
