Adjunct Professor of Accounting

Professor Dowdy is an accounting and information systems professional with a strong background in data analytics, risk management, and tax compliance. With experience at KPMG and Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg, LLP, he brings practical insight into technology risk and tax accounting to the classroom.

As a Graduate Teaching Associate at San Diego State University, he led workshops on financial analysis and accounting fundamentals, supporting student learning through hands-on instruction and individual guidance.

Professor Dowdy holds a BA and MS in Accountancy from San Diego State University, graduating with a 3.86 GPA. He is recognized with the SAP Student Recognition Award and is proficient in tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath (RPA), Python, and SQL.
