We invite our Sea Lion families to come back to campus for Family Weekend 2026 ! Enjoy a weekend filled with special opportunities to reconnect with your students and make lasting memories.
Family Weekend is designed with the whole family in mind and we welcome all of our families to join us whether your student is a freshman or senior, you live locally or are traveling from afar. We hope to Sea you this fall!

Please register all guests including your PLNU student. Deluxe tickets include a breakfast burrito at Saturday’s President’s Breakfast program.

Visitors will gain valuable information on the admissions process, academic scholarships, financial aid, academic programs, campus involvements, and spiritual life programs. A student tour guide will meet you at the end of the information session to take you on a 90-minute walking tour of the campus. Book your tour in advance!

Start your day with an uplifting yoga session that combines worship music and biblical themes for a Christ-centered practice. Led by Parent and Family Council member, Jenny Bemrick, we welcome all experience levels to join us on the new Ryan Lawrence Fitness Pavilion Lawn! Mats will be available on a first come, first serve basis. A release of liability form must be completed by all participants and can be filled out here.

Enjoy the views and a classic San Diegan breakfast in our iconic Greek Amphitheatre! This picnic-style breakfast program is a special time for our community to gather together as President Fulcher shares his vision and highlights for the year to come and our guest speaker shares words of wisdom and encouragement for our families. Breakfast is optional, please be sure to select a breakfast ticket when registering your family.
Parents in Prayer: Prayer Walk | Follows the President’s Breakfast

Join us for our first in-person Parents in Prayer meeting of the semester. At the conclusion of the President’s Breakfast, we will meet at the north entrance to the Greek to begin our walk across campus as we cover our students, leadership, and greater campus community in intentional prayer.

Who Can Attend
Who can attend Family Weekend?
We define family as our students’ unit of support and this event is designed with that in mind. So, whether you’re a parent/guardian, sibling, grandparent, extended family member, friend, etc., you are welcome!
My student isn’t a freshman, can we still attend?
Yes! Students and their families are welcomed and encouraged to attend Family Weekend every year they are able to.
When can I register?
Online registration now - October 4. Day-of registration will be available at the Info Booth during Check-in on Friday and Saturday.
Do I need to register my PLNU student?
Yes, please register your PLNU student and select the appropriate ticket for the President’s Breakfast.
How do I make changes to my registration?
Changes to your registration including adding/removing guests, making changes to your ticket selections or cancelling your registration can be made from your confirmation email. Under registrant info select “Modify Registration” then make all necessary changes. If adding a new registrant, please be sure to select the appropriate tickets for the new guest and complete payment if applicable. To finalize changes you must click through until you reach the confirmation window.
For all other registration questions or further assistance, please email FamilyWeekend@pointloma.edu or call (619) 849-2512 and one of our team members will assist you with your refund request. Refund requests must be submitted by October 4.
Where should I stay for Family Weekend?
PLNU is pleased to offer a specially reduced rate at a variety of Bartell Hotels in the San Diego area. Rates are based on availability and all appropriate taxes and hotel fees apply. To guarantee a special rate, please book early and ask for the "PLNU rate" at the time the reservation is made. In return, Bartell will donate a percentage of the total room cost to PLNU's Loma Fund benefiting student scholarships. Book online and find additional information about PLNU's partnership with Bartell hotels.

Does PLNU provide off campus shuttle service for the event?
We currently do not have off campus shuttle service, but rather recommend taking advantage of San Diego’s many rideshare options.
