Jacob Le is a mechanical engineering major graduating summa cum laude in May 2026 and is originally from Corona, California. During his time at Point Loma Nazarene University, Jacob has demonstrated academic excellence, faithful service, and a strong commitment to the campus community.

Jacob has served as a Resident Advisor in Young Hall for three years, where he focuses on fostering a safe and welcoming environment through intentional programming and student support. Alongside his work in Residence Life, he has been involved with ASB’s Campus Activities Board for three years, helping plan campus-wide events that promote connection and belonging. Notably, he played a key role in expanding the annual surf film premiere, increasing student participation by more than 500 percent.

Academically, Jacob maintains a 3.977 GPA. He has participated in environmental research with the Naval Information Warfare Center and is currently interning at Saab as a mechanical engineering intern, working on autonomous boat systems. His senior project involves leading a team designing an inflatable solar dryer to support sustainable farming practices in rural Guatemala.

Jacob’s leadership is grounded in his Christian faith. He is actively involved at College Avenue Church, where he volunteers as a Sunday school teacher for four- and five-year-olds.

Outside of academics, Jacob is an avid surfer with an interest in surf history from the 1960s and 1970s. His hobbies include cooking, playing sports, and pottery, and he is passionate about the ocean, science, and using emerging technologies to serve communities.
