The Fermanian Business & Economic Institute (FBEI)

As an MBA student, you’ll have access to a dynamic and multi-faceted hub of business and economic services, as well as professional development and networking opportunities.

MBA students can participate in:

  • Professional and Executive Development Events
  • Meaningful Travel - MBA students have travelled to the East Coast and discussed economics with Ben Bernanke, attended the National Association for Business Economics Conference, enjoyed meaningful discussions with executives of New York financial institutions, and more.
  • Entrepreneur Enrichment Program (EEP) - The EEP connects student-entrepreneurs with business professionals and financiers in an intensive and disciplined approach to business planning.

… and so much more.

Firsthand Consulting Experience
The FBEI assists businesses through many business and economic consulting projects. You’ll have opportunities to be a part of operational and product analysis, innovative marketing plans, competitive strategies, and other business needs. Dr. Lynn Reaser, PLNU’s chief economist, provides local economic forecasts and ways to look forward in a changing economy as well as works collaboratively with San Diego firms to provide them with actionable economic analysis and assist them in research and consulting projects.

Integrated Values
You will find that there is no course on business ethics in the MBA program - that’s because issues of integrity are woven into every class and into the fabric of the program itself. As a Christian university, PLNU believes business is about more than the bottom line. It’s about aligning solid business practices with your spiritual and moral values. It’s about having deep and driving integrity. Regardless of your beliefs, you will benefit from the influence our faith has on the way we approach problem solving, teamwork, and the world.

Watch this 2-minute video about Roman, who wanted an MBA program that could deepen his knowledge even in the middle of a successful career. Earning an MBA that emphasizes “business as more than the bottom line” has given him an even richer experience than he had imagined.
