Applications are due February 1, 2012. Early applications will receive special consideration.

A deposit of $500.00 is due March 1, 2012. Full program fees are due by university summer school deadlines.

Attach an essay (no more than three pages, no less than one) describing why you wish to participate in Urban Term and how you expect this program to contribute to you education and your personal or career goals.

Name a faculty reference (we will solicit references as needed; you should ask permission, but do not need to obtain the reference from the faculty).

Externships

Externships are a critial component of the Urban Term. Each student will be required to participate in a 25 hour per week externship in the City Heights community. Faculty and staff will be assisting with internship placements in local churches, business, policy settings, non-profit and community service agencies.

Agreement

By signing the form below you will be considered for participation in Urban Term. Participants will be selected by the Center for justice & Reconciliation Core committee. See more about the CJR at www.pointloma.edu/cjr.

I hereby apply for consideration for Urban Term 2012. I understand the my participation in this program is voluntary and agree to the following:
1. Attendance in all required courses, completion of required examinations, papers and special projects.
2. Adherence to the rules and policies of PLNU throughout Urban Term.
3. Full participation in the communal life of Urban Term.
