Dr. Carli provides human trafficking academic research expertise to the CJR team to increase collaboration between academic institutions, in support of HT-RADAR's objective to facilitate a collaborative research environment in San Diego. She also leads a research project for the kNOw MORE! program, and co-leads the Center’s research partnerships with other universities. She is also the current co-chair of the Research and Data Subcommittee of the County of San Diego Human Trafficking and CSEC Advisory Council.

kNOwMORE is a drama based human trafficking prevention program that is geared towards middle and high school youth. Ebony Robinson serves as the program manager for kNOwMORE. She is responsible for the logistics, communication and coordination required to ensure the effectiveness and the impact of the KNOwMORE program. Valerie is a Research Assistant advancing the CJR’s applied research on human trafficking in San Diego County. She executes essential tasks including data collection, analysis, and report drafting for the San Diego County research project. She also coordinates stakeholder interviews, contributes to quarterly research briefs, and helps organize bi-annual community meetings to ensure research drives meaningful social change.
