Marketing Club & American Marketing Association

PLNU students work on project with professor in the Marketing Club & American Marketing Association.

Marketing Club and the PLNU Chapter of the American Marketing Association

Two distinct opportunities for co-curricular experience in Marketing are offered at Point Loma Nazarene University.

The Marketing Club brings together PLNU students and local marketing professionals to prepare college students for various marketing professions. The role of the Marketing Club is to expose any interested student to the world of marketing and the people who have careers in marketing.

The PLNU Chapter of the American Marketing Association is for serious students of any major who want to experience marketing. Students become members of the American Marketing Association and engage with local and national leaders in marketing. Point Loma students enter national and local competitions, conduct real marketing projects, and interact with marketing students from other universities in San Diego.

In a world where marketing changes every day, it is important that marketing students learn from one another and members of the Marketing Advisory Board (40+ leaders who advise the Point Loma program). Students must stay informed of the new marketing tools and trends from experienced professionals. These networking opportunities and the connections allow students to build strong portfolios that demonstrate their marketing skills and capabilities. This process often results in strong job placements within the marketing field.
