Management, B.S. Business Administration

Management, B.S. Business Administration

Program Overview

Are you a natural born leader who likes to strategize, organize, innovate, and collaborate with others? When faced with problems, do people tend to look to you for solutions? Do you enjoy being in charge of projects or tasks? You may just have what it takes to be a successful manager or entrepreneur.

A PLNU Bachelor of Science in Management equips you with the intellectual and professional tools needed to assume positions of responsibility within an organization. Courses in leadership, organizational behavior, operations management, finance, and strategy will help you understand different areas and demands of the workplace. These courses, alongside your choice of a concentration in entrepreneurship or global business, will shape you into a leader of purpose and influence.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll have opportunities to apply your learning in real-world settings through a variety of student-run organizations and hands-on experiences. Whether you choose to develop leadership skills in clubs like the Management and Leadership Club or the Women in Business Club, network with peers in the Social Entrepreneurship Society, or explore international markets through trips and other international opportunities, you’ll find countless ways to expand your skills, connect with future business leaders, build a global mindset, and gain practical insights that prepare you for a meaningful career.

At PLNU, our management program aims to set you up for success with two objectives:

  • Equipping you with the intellectual and professional tools needed to assume positions of responsibility
  • Helping you to understand the different areas and demands of the workplace for leadership, organizational behavior, operations management, finance, and strategy

These objectives and your choice of a concentration in entrepreneurship or supply chain will set you up to be a leader of purpose and influence.

Servant Leadership
"One principle they teach at Point Loma is the servant leadership component, and what that looks like. They ask, ‘How do we model servant leadership in a business setting?"

Finding Calling
"Point Loma to me was the prototypical example of making wonderful friends, having wonderful mentors, and doing all those things that not every high schooler thinks about. They think, ‘Is the major going to be good? Am I going to be ready to make money when I graduate?’ Of course, PLNU does that, but it also set me on a good trajectory in life to not just have a profession but to be a good individual and find my calling."
