
Second-Year Master's in Writing student, Anna Wang's short story, My Nephew, My Vacuous Nephew,” earned high honours in New Albany, Mississippi, and she travelled there to accept the prize.
Anna Wang was awarded Second Place in the William Faulkner Literary Competition for her short story “My Nephew, My Vacuous Nephew.” The award ceremony was held on September 26 2025, the day after William Faulkner’s birthday, in his hometown of New Albany, Mississippi.
