JC Hurtado-Prater joined the Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University as an adjunct professor in 2020 and became a full-time associate professor of leadership in 2022. A U.S. Army veteran, Hurtado-Prater brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership and management consulting. He has delivered training and consulting services to Fortune 500 companies and major government agencies, including Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, Visa, the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Navy, Park Hyatt and more. Hurtado-Prater earned his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, his M.B.A. from Saint Joseph's College of Maine, and his D.B.A. in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
