PLNU and ROTC

Navy ROTC

The Navy ROTC (NROTC) unit in San Diego is one of the largest in the country. As a PLNU student, you’ll have a strong community around you. PLNU graduates make up about 20% of the Navy and Marine Corps officers commissioned each year. PLNU is also one of only a few Christian Colleges to offer NROTC as an option for students.

Air Force ROTC and Army ROTC

PLNU engineering students can participate in either Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) or Army ROTC (AROTC). The AFROTC detachment is recognized as a top 10% detachment in the nation, providing you with valuable resources, support, and experiences.

Resources

PLNU’s engineering and physics department is dedicated to supporting you throughout your academic journey. Within the department and across the campus, you’ll have access to a variety of resources.

• Academic counselors will help you manage your schedule, support academic success, and provide professional mentorship as you prepare for your career. 
• Military services can help you navigate military education benefits, transition into university life, and stay supported from enrollment through graduation. 
• Student Financial Services will work with you to ensure you are equipped with the variety of benefits PLNU offers. We also have significant experience assisting veterans to use their VA benefits to get a degree in engineering.
• You’ll be able to build a community with other military-connected students with PLNU’s Student Veterans of America branch.
