Where are you from?

I'm from a little town in Sonoma County called Sebastopol. After four years of living in San Diego for college, I like to say I have the best of both worlds with the two places I call home on the California coast!

What did you study in college?

I earned a B.A. in Managerial and Organizational Communication from PLNU.

What were your favorite involvements in college and why?

One of my favorite things I got to be involved with was the school's Residential Life program. As a Resident Assistant (RA), I developed my professional skill set, experienced practical leadership on a campus that I loved, and gained some awesome personal connections with my teams.

What advice would you give someone who's choosing a college?

I chose Point Loma because I believed it was a school that would challenge me to grow and learn in pretty much every part of my life, and I trusted there were people on campus who would walk alongside me as I navigated those challenges. I had NO idea what was in store for me in my undergrad years, and I couldn't have possibly imagined the blessings that would unfold during my time at PLNU. The best advice I could give you is to keep an open mind, take some of the pressure off yourself with making this decision - don't try to find the "perfect" school (it most likely doesn't exist), look for a place where you could see yourself being developed, finding community, getting involved, calling "home" and becoming who you want to be. The four years in front of you are for YOU to live and manage. I encourage you to take your time, ask questions, trust yourself (and the people close to you) and ENJOY this season of choosing a school! It can be so fun and it only happens once!
