PLNU adheres to a strict Code of Conduct regarding the administration of Private Loans.
- There are no revenue‑sharing arrangements with any lender
- No gifts, trips, meals, or compensation from lenders are accepted by school staff
- (with de minimis exceptions as allowed by law, such as pens/notepads)
- There are no contracting arrangements with lenders that provide remuneration to staff
- PLNU will not steer students to particular lenders or delay certification based on lender choice; loan processing is impartial for all lenders
- There will be no staffing assistance provided by a lender to the financial aid office
- No PLNU staff will serve on an advisory board for any lender
- Staff receive annual training/disclosures regarding this Code
