Dr. Holmen-Crow earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California Santa Barbara. Prior to that, she earned a B.S. in Math and a B.A. in French from Calvin College (now Calvin University). Her specialization is in low-dimensional Topology and she is interested in Geometric Group Theory as well.
Dr. Holmen-Crow has many hobbies which include but are not limited to cooking, baking, slowly killing plants, working in the woodshop, sewing, rock-climbing, and skiing. She is happy to try most things once and might already have the tools/gear to do so! She also usually has snacks in her office so stop on by to hear about her latest hobbies and grab a quick treat.
