Vision: Participating in God’s Redemptive Love in and for the World

Our life in Christ leads us to share the “good news” of the Gospel, and to love and care for all people as ones who are made in the image of God.1 As a Christ-centered community in education, empowered by the Spirit, we are committed in every dimension of our community to the work of shaping our students in Christian character, preparing them for loving and redemptive service in and for the world.  Our hope and prayer is that both by their words and example, they will live vibrant lives of holiness, stand against injustice, care for all of God's creation, and invite others to become followers of Jesus Christ.2 We understand this to be our responsibility both through instruction and by example. We joyfully engage our calling in Christian education and are deeply grateful when we observe our students maturing not only in knowledge, but also in Christ-like character, loving God and neighbor.3

1 “Missio Dei”: Our calling to participate in God’s redemptive mission.

2 Stewardship of Creation: As we participate with God in God’s work in the world, we are given the sacred trust of caring for all of God’s Creation.

3 Acts of Mercy: Wesleyan theology has a strong theme of healing, both of body and soul.
