Fall Break Adventures Beyond Campus

Fall Break took PLNU students beyond the coast of San Diego and into the mountains of Bishop, California! Join the Jesus Rocks climbing community and Loma Outside for a look at the outdoor adventures, new experiences, and connections that make student life at Loma memorable.

Taking Adventure Beyond Loma

Who says the best college memories have to happen on campus? For members of PLNU's Jesus Rocks climbing community, Fall Break 2026 brought an opportunity to trade coastal views for the mountains, rock formations, and outdoor landscapes of Bishop, California.

Through Loma Outside, PLNU's outdoor adventure club and experiential education program, students explored some of the region's well-known outdoor destinations, including the Buttermilks, Alabama Hills, and Owens River Gorge. From climbing and exploring new terrain to spending time with fellow Sea Lions, the trip offered opportunities to build friendships, challenge themselves, and experience the outdoors together.

Adventures like these highlight another side PLNU's student life, where students can find community through shared interests and explore new experiences beyond the classroom. Whether it's discovering a passion for climbing or simply enjoying time outdoors, Loma Outside encourages students to step beyond the familiar and embrace the adventure.
