Kyla Kinzler joined the Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) faculty in 2025 as an Associate Professor in the School of Education. She teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate education courses and serves as the freshman advisor for students pursuing a Liberal Studies – Teacher Education major. Professor Kinzler also spent a semester as the Transition Teacher at PLNU’s Early Childhood Learning Center and remains actively connected to the community as a regular guest reader.

Christian A. Vaca is an Information Technology professional and cybersecurity engineer with over 20 years of combined military and civilian experience in the Department of Defense and private sectors. His expertise spans network security, cloud infrastructure, endpoint protection, and secure systems design. As an adjunct professor, he integrates his industry background into hands-on, lab-driven instruction that bridges academic theory and professional application.
