Two students from our Master of Arts in Writing (MAW) program have been recognized in the prestigious 2025 AWP Intro Journals Awards.
Joseph Dowdy
Professor Dowdy is an accounting and information systems professional with a strong background in data analytics, risk management, and tax compliance. With experience at KPMG and Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg, LLP, he brings practical insight into technology risk and tax accounting to the classroom.
As a Graduate Teaching Associate at San Diego State University, he led workshops on financial analysis and accounting fundamentals, supporting student learning through hands-on instruction and individual guidance.
