Room and Roommate Selection

After the housing application closes, the Housing Office will process the applications and assign room selection dates and times for each roommate group through a random lottery system. Students will be notified of the assigned date and time for their room selection.

Everyone in your group will get a room selection date and time. The person in your group who has the earliest time will log in, just like they did when they filled out their housing application, and they will select a room to house everyone in your group. The number in your group must match the number of open spots in the room. For example, if your group is selecting a room in Finch Hall, your group must consist of two people. If you need to change your roommate group to reconfigure for the hall of your choice, you will be able to do so at that time. After you have selected a room and clicked "save and continue," you are done and your selection is final.

Failing to register for fall classes will adversely affect you and your potential roommates. Students who are not registered for at least 12 units for fall will not be eligible to choose a room or be a part of a roommate group. If you have a hold on your account from Student Financial Services, the Wellness Center or the Records Office, please contact those offices directly.
