Cross-Disciplinary Studies: Integrated Education, B.A.

Program Overview

Are you looking for a major that will prepare you for a broad range of careers? In today's changing world, most people will have jobs in more than one field. The skills you will need to have an impact in a variety of careers and pursuits are those that belong to a timeless education: critical thinking, inquiry, communication, adaptability, people skills, and a broad knowledge of multiple subject areas. Wherever you go, you will bring a strong liberal arts background and interdisciplinary thinking, which will have you well-equipped to be a leader and problem-solver in many fields.

Even though cross-disciplinary studies is a broad major by nature, you will still have the opportunity to customize your program and dive deeper in subjects that especially interest you. You will be able to choose a focused area of concentration within your broader major and complete a capstone research project your senior year. You will also gain experience teaching and leading through 40 hours of fieldwork.

With the School of Education faculty behind you and the Offices of Strengths and Vocation to guide you, you will be ready to make a difference in our ever-changing society because of your timeless preparation.
