Karah Lain, M.F.A.

Karah Lain received her MFA from Oregon College of Art and Craft, and has shown her collage and painting work throughout the country in such locations as the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago, Illinois, Third Room in Portland, Oregon, and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She has also served as an artist in residence at Portland Garment Factory and In Cahoots Residency, and as a University Fellow at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. She is currently Assistant Professor of Visual Art in Painting and Drawing at Point Loma Nazarene University. 

Laurel Miller, DMSc, PA-C

Dr. Laurel Miller is an experienced PA clinician and educator. She has experience working in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Women's Health since graduating from USC in 2009. She and her husband pastor at Makers Church in San Diego and love spending time exploring and traveling with their three children. Professor Miller is proud to be a founding faculty member of the PLNU PA program.

Danielle Lauria, MPH, PA-C

Professor Lauria is an experienced healthcare professional and educator. She began her career as a Primary Care Physician Assistant twenty-five years ago, and has worked in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Dermatology. In addition, Professor Lauria has over fifteen years experience as an educator and academic leader. She has managed several allied health programs, developed course and program curriculum, and taught more than ten different courses.

Dana Sayre-Stanhope, EdD, PA-C Emeritus

After graduating from the University of Colorado’s Child health Associate/Physician Assistant Program, Dr. Dana Sayre-Stanhope joined the faculty of the University of Florida where she practiced pediatric surgery. She continued this practice in New York with a joint appointment at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and City College of New York Harlem Hospital’ physician assistant program. She was recruited to Quinnipiac University where she founded their physician assistant program and subsequently founded the PA program at Samuel Merritt University.

Marshall H. Fields, III., Esq.

Marshall H. Fields, III. joined PLNU in 2019 as adjunct faculty in the Criminal Justice department of the College of Extended Learning teaching our future law enforcement professionals. He now has the pleasure of teaching business leaders of tomorrow in our Organizational Leadership department as well as history to anyone that will listen for PLNU’s Sociology department. Marshall’s legal background in criminal law in the public and private sector, as well as, corporate law allows him to connect with students in a variety of ways.
