Doug Fruehling, M.L.S.

After providing 27 years of research help and instructional services as a member of the Ryan Library faculty, Professor Fruehling has invested extensively in volunteerism. He provided long-term volunteer support in the library at Nazarene Theological College in Brisbane, Australia, and has twice served as a library volunteer in residence at Nazarene Theological College in Manchester, England. Upon returning to San Diego, he began a new season of volunteer work in PLNU's university archives. Doug's interests include film studies and international pet-sitting.

Julie Sweeney, M.L.I.S.

Professor Sweeney joined the Library faculty as an Instructional Services Librarian in 2019 after serving on staff in Ryan Library since 2004. Her primary area of focus is Information Literacy taught through research skills in classroom sessions and individual guidance at the Research Help Desk. She serves as the Library’s liaison Literature, Journalism, Writing, and Languages; Music; the Reuben Welch School of Theology and Christian Ministry; and Women’s Studies.

This fourth annual Wear Justice had a hybrid format, with in-person and virtual opportunities to engage. The CJR's Student Staff and Student Ambassadors planned different activities that educated hundreds of people on ways to incorporate Fair Trade into their daily lives.
